Medicare Notice of Admission (NOA) isn't required for Priority Health Medicare members
The Center for Medicare Services’ (CMS) new NOA requirement doesn’t apply to our members because they are part of a Medicare HMO plan.
What you need to know
CMS edited their claims processing manual. Effective Jan. 1, 2022, CMS has transitioned from accepting requests for anticipated payments (RAPs) to NOAs for patients wanting home health services.
This edit doesn’t apply to our Medicare members because they are part of an HMO plan, and all HMO patients are excluded. You should continue following our normal prior authorization process for home health services.
