Priority Health, HealthBar announce partnership to offer exclusive, onsite health care package for employers
(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — September 5, 2024) Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving more than 1.3 million members, and Grand Rapids-based HealthBar have partnered to create an exclusive offering for employers seeking to provide onsite health care services for their employees and their families.
The partnership gives employers access to HealthBar’s onsite clinics, virtual care and concierge services that are designed to reduce health care costs, prioritize engagement and improve employee satisfaction and retention. HealthBar’s services include primary and preventive care, urgent care, wellness coaching, lab services, occupational health and vaccine clinics, among others.
“We are proud to partner with HealthBar, a mission-driven organization similar to our own, to offer a unique and creative solution that can reduce barriers to accessing care by bringing the care directly to employees,” said Rick Abbott, senior vice president of Employer Solutions at Priority Health. “This partnership aligns with our goal to improve health, lower costs and offer a range of options to employers.”
Through this partnership, employees and their family members will have access to enhanced personalized services, including support in identifying and starting free clinical programs offered by Priority Health. Employers will also benefit from enhanced data integration, which can drive more onsite engagement, increasing the value of their investment.
“At HealthBar, our focus is on changing lives through accessible primary and preventive care for employers and their employees,” said Nathan Baar, founder and CEO of HealthBar. “Our partnership with Priority Health not only supports this mission, but also our focus on data connectivity, which furthers the work of our clinicians to provide the care that is necessary, when and where it's needed, and the time to build true relationships with employees and their families.”
The new offering starts January 1, 2025, and is available to any employer with more than 100 employees enrolled in its health plan. Employers have access to a discount on their HealthBar services when they bundle their HealthBar package with a Priority Health plan.
