Priority Health again receives top quality ratings for its accredited Medicare, Medicaid and commercial health plans
(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — October 7, 2024) Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving more than 1.3 million members, has again been recognized as a top performer by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its accredited Medicare, Medicaid and commercial health plans.
In NCQA’s Medicare Health Plan Ratings 2024, Priority Health’s PPO plan is the top-rated PPO plan in Michigan, receiving 4.5 stars (out of 5) and one of the highest-rated health plans in the nation. Priority Health’s Medicare HMO/POS plans also received 4.5 stars (out of 5), making them one of the highest-rated health plans in the nation.
In NCQA’s Commercial Health Plan Ratings 2024, Priority Health’s commercial HMO/POS is the top-rated HMO/POS plan in Michigan and one of the highest-rated health plans in the nation, receiving 4.5 stars (out of 5). Priority Health’s commercial PPO plan received a 4-star rating (out of 5), making them among the top-performing commercial plans in Michigan.
In NCQA’s Medicaid Health Plan Ratings 2024, Priority Health’s Medicaid plan is the highest-rated Medicaid health plan in the lower peninsula and the second-highest rated Medicaid plan in Michigan.

Each year, NCQA evaluates Medicare, Medicaid and commercial health plans and ranks plans based on clinical quality, patient outcomes, patient experience and efforts to continue improving. Plans are rated on a 0-5 stars scale.
The ratings were released ahead of annual and open enrollment. The annual enrollment period for Medicare is October 15 to December 7, 2024. The open enrollment period for individual and family health plans is November 1 to January 15, 2025.
