ACHP Board names Priority Health President Praveen Thadani as board chair
(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — January 1, 2025) Praveen Thadani, president of Priority Health, a nationally recognized health plan serving 1.3 million members, will serve as chair of the Board of Directors for the Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) for 2025.
ACHP is the only national organization promoting the unique, payer-provider aligned model in health care. ACHP’s nonprofit, community-based member health companies collaborate with their provider partners to deliver higher-quality coverage and care to tens of millions of Americans across nearly 40 states and DC.
“I have long admired Praveen’s thoughtful and strategic perspectives as a Board member,” said Ceci Connolly, ACHP president and CEO. “Now that he has stepped into the role of Board Chair, I look forward to working together to advance ACHP’s members’ shared commitments to providing high-quality, affordable and accessible health coverage to communities across the country.”
Priority Health has been a member of ACHP since 2008 and Thadani has served on the board since arriving at Priority Health in 2021.
“It is a privilege to serve ACHP and its members in our goal to improve health care,” said Thadani. “With 40 years of health policy advocacy, ACHP shares innovative solutions with policymakers and industry influencers who are shaping the legislative conversation for the future of the American health care system.”
